Emma Kate is our first child. We were so unaware, joking around about guessing the gender as we went into our 1st trimester screening. We learned that day that something was very wrong and went straight to another specialist to have a CVS Test performed. We quickly learned that our precious girl had Turner Syndrome, a chromosomal condition that is not hereditary. Her DNA was just missing a puzzle piece. We continued to diligently pray the the Lord’s will would be done, while begging to be able to keep our daughter on earth. We continued to see all sorts of doctors as her health problems increased. At 22 weeks, Emma opened her eyes to meet Jesus. I delivered her a few days later (September 26, 2013). We wanted her name to be significant, Emma means “one who is complete” and Kate means “pure”… we know that she is whole. She is perfect and complete. She has no pain. She has no struggle. She is in the amazing presence of our precious Savior. We are so thankful for the short time that He allowed her to be with us.
